Wigwam is a much-loved toy shop was founded in 2001 and has a loyal following among the families of Brighton and Hove. Sadly, due to the illness and tragic death of the original owner, the shop closed in early 2013.
In March 2013, Clair Letton and Jesse Marshall bought WigWam and officially re-opened the shop on 20th April 2013.
WigWam stocks a wide range of well-known and rather unusual toys, books, pocket-money treats, greetings cards and gift wrap for girls and boys.

- Jellycat – a well known & loved soft toy brand, Jellycat creatures are soft, machine washable & very cuddly! We stock a wide range including the new born and Little Jellycat range.
- Sylvanian Families – do you remember playing with these? Sweet little creatures with their own clothes & accessories, the hedgehog family even come with their own tiny hair brush!
- Playmobil & Lego – hours of fun to be had with these two childhood classics, we really love the Playmobil Wild West range, & Lego Starwars sets
- Hape Toys – Hape specialise in well made wooden toys, which include cars & vehicles, push alongs, role play toys & instruments. They also make the best range of sand toys I have ever seen – Taj Mahal sand castle moulds anyone?
- The Puppet Company – soft puppets lovingly made, suitable for hands large & small. We stock the Finger Puppets, My First Puppets, Car Pets, long & short sleeve puppets and the big colourful birds. If you visit the shop you might just see the big red dragon & a 4ft gorilla hanging out as well.
- Wow Toys – one of our favourites, really durable & colourful vehicles, they come with people & pets. Suitable from 1 1/2 years, they require no batteries either!
- Schliech – beautiful, hand painted & realistic animals, reptiles & dinosaurs. It takes a year & a half to train to paint these little creatures.
- Brio trains – one of the most recognised & copied wooden train sets. We have sets, track extensions & accessories, as well as individual engines & carriages.
- YooHoo & friends – cuddly creatures, based on endangered species, with colourful fur and great big eyes. We also stock the YooHoo blind bags & key rings
- Other soft toys – Mog, The Tiger Who Came to Tea, Room on the Broom Witch, Cat and Dragon, The Gruffallo toys, Moomins & more.
- Delingos – the Parisienne soft toy oddball animals. There’s BigBoss the wolf, Bogos the monkey, Jambonos the pig, and so many more. Made from corduroy with colourful clothes & patches, they are guaranteed to spark imaginations.
- Djeco – colourful stickers, craft kits, room decorations & puzzles. The company collaborates with talented illustrators and designers, to produce products that deliver all they promise, on their very attractive packaging.
- Tate books – The quality of the Tate publications is second to none, with old classics reprinted – remember Mr Ben? And charming picture & story books we haven’t found elsewhere. We also stock sticker & colouring books, board books, pop up books & activity pads.
- Meri Meri – A wonderful range of party ware. We love everything about it, it’s beautifully made, unusual, charming, a bit retro & great fun. We currently have The Toot Sweet range, Pirates, Princesses, cup cake kits, cards & invites, garlands & balloon holders.
This is just a small selection of what we sell, we have tried hard to find attractive & affordable toys that are a bit unusual, & present good value for money.
